-
The
Cowards at Waterloo
(The
Dutch-Belgians have been character-assassinated by many historians.
Wellington placed them in the most exposed position on the battlefield,
where they were certain to be slaughtered by the French artillery, infantry
and cavalry. Although they withstood the punishment of the French
arms as long as was humanly possible, they have been branded as cowards
in history. These are the same Dutch-Belgians who also fought bravely
two days before, at Quatre Bras, to keep the French from taking that vital
crossroads, and to save Wellington's bacon. This Web site sets the
record straight.
